Anantagiri Hills is 82.4 kms from Secunderabad Railway station. It is one of the most nearest and scenic places of Hyderabad. Being part of the Deccan Plateau, Hyderabad and many of its surrounding areas are known for their hilly terrain, rock formations. Hyderabad is also famous in the trekking circuit and mountain climbing that is a right fit for a perfect beginner.
Ananthagiri Hills and its surrounding areas are known exactly for the above reasons. It is super famous among the teens and youth for its trekking stretch that vast enough that you end up having a Sunset right in it and you won't even realize how your day has gone by.
Above it the route map for the Ananthagiri Hills and is also famous for Anantha Padmanabha Swamy. The God's sanctum sanctorum is in between the rock formations. It is such a divine experience that you will have, I bet you will never forget it in your lifetime.
Anathagiri Hills is on the Chevellava - Vikarabad road. So, Chilkur Balaji Temple, famously known as the VISA God is in the way. We took the blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swamy and then made our way to Anatharigi hills.
On the way, we had a wonderful scenic roads with very old trees along side of the road on both sides. They appear as if they were from the Nizam's time. We had a great time with Sunflower plantations and Cotton plantations here.
Musi river takes its birth from here and flows all the way through Hyderabad and joins Krishna river.
OsmanSagar and Hymayath Sagar have the water from the hills of Ananthagiri.
