Hillary on her recent visit to India, requested the Indian Govt to stop using coal for the production of power/electricity.
She also insisted that India should also see for the other alternatives so as to reduce the carbon emissions which will be a part of the global warming.
The only other alternative that is present is Nuclear Power.The requirements for this power and supply of nuclear material is signed under the Indo-US pact called 123 agreement. But the recently concluded G8 summit in La' Aquila says that all the nations of NSG(they are 44 countries in this group) must supply nuclear material(Uranium) only to those countries which have signed NPT agreement.
This means indirectly that the USA doesn't want India to grow and become a developed country.
They also want India to privatize all the sectors and the PSU's.
