Let's move ahead! There is more than what a textbook offers you. This doesnt mean that books at not to be read. After all, we need to be ompetitve than just passing the subjects.

We would have come across this scenario multiple times. -" OMG! did you see that notice board? He is just an average student in the class. Raghu, cleared the campus selection. And Hemanth! the guy with 70+ hasn't made it to the prestigious MNC."

No doubt, Hemanth is a gem. He is undoubtedly the distinction guy from the class. But that doesnt help when it comes to screening for the campus placements. Raghu, has scored just enough to be there in the list of the cut-off percentage for the B.Tech score. Beyond that Raghu has exhibited few more talents which made him stand apart from the crowd.

This means the companies coming for campus interviews treat both Hemanth and Raghu the same way if they fall under the cut-off percentage. After this, its one's way of handling things that brings in the difference.

Remember, technical things can be taught, but not the personality development. If someone says, Sit in my personality development class, you will make it through and you believe that person, then you are a dumb. There is only one way to make the development - It has to come within. You will have to realize it. No one can make you do it come from with in.

I was sharing my joy and happiness with one of my friends for the just achieved milestone of 300 posts on our own Hyderabad Rocker blog. I was over enthused and my friend too was with my continuous blabbering.
We were discussing on the variety of posts that we at HYDROKR have been writing over the last 3+ years. There were few fingers, some feedback, new suggestions and many appreciations to take home from the discussion.

One most important suggestions/idea to take home from the discussion is about the B.Tech babu/baba. This is not at all a new thing. Hyderabad has been the new face of IT industry in service/support/development departments with world's biggest IT companies having their Development centers in Hyd.

However, the question of the hour is -Are the Engineers gearing up to the situation. Is the city ready to absorb the growing day to day population. On top of all this, are the students passing out of the Engg. colleges of Andhra Pradesh able to raise to the situation to grab the job opportunities that are getting created in this industry?

Hence, we, the HYDROKR, want to take up a series of posts on this topic, so that we can stand, look, listen, obeserve, understand, analyze, concentrate, dedicate ourselves to capture the opportunities and more importantly together :-).

Your views cut short.

After a long time, i have decided to take an earned leave to spend sometime with my parents and my sister. Pushing the daily routine of moving out of home at 7:25 AM to catch a bus at 7:30 AM at a stop that is 3 KM from my home in-time, which makes my 40 KM travel a comfort.

But being a software engineer at heart and soul, i couldn't put myself away from the Laptop for long. So, I wanted to spend sometime going through the random things that stuck my mind. Stocks-shares-sensex- was the thing that I dislike following. Just to make a diversion in my thought process, I had opened a couple of sites that help us track shares to the core.

There were so many details on the page, which instantly has taken my mind away from the page. What i did was, watch a couple of trailers for the upcoming movies in the YouTube. After sometime, when I was back on this site to close the window, i saw a shocking alert at the right bottom of the screen. I was surprised, taken aback and was wondering. The webpage made me believe and tried to prove that it was far intelligent and proactive than the normal netizen is expecting.

It threw an alert saying
"We notice that you are tracking AAA share closely. Get real-time notifications and alerts on SMS".

So, I have searched for another stock and left the page without doing anything for few minutes and went back to it. Alas! it said the same thing again, but for a different stock this time.

"We notice that you are tracking BBB share closely. Get real-time notifications and alerts on SMS".

Well, what does this mean? Is the stock information provider trying to help us? Not sure?
As far as my understanding goes, IT IS NOT. Instead, i would say that these websites are trying to steal our browsing information. They are trying to customize the stock pages based on few patterns that are captured by the algorithms of a server which has 0's and 1's and  have NO brains.

The next time around, the content that is suggested to you will be based on the last preferences that you have set. Say for example you have been checking the details of shares that are going ONLY on positive and are within a range of Rs.200 to Rs.300, and you make the tracking assistance save your preferences, then it shows you details of stocks that are in this range only. So, this means, your view of the webpage is defaulted with this range. Alas!

Instance TWO: I have opened a couple of webpages and then i was checking some websites that were doing e-commerce. I have picked up few brands and had navigated through the T-shirts section of those brands.  From the next time when i visit the two other  webpages that were open along with the current e-commerce site, they display the ads pertaining only to those brands. :-) Tracking to the core. This means indirectly, the technology has cut short my view of the outside world based on few of my hits and browsing patterns. The most important thing of all this, the browsing pattern used and evaluated was from my past time and not as per my needs.

Bala Saheb : A true Leader and an inspiration

Shri Balasaheb Thakarey founder and chief of the Shiv Sena, a right-wing Hindu nationalist, and Marathi ethnocentric party active mainly in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. His followers called him the Hindu Hriday Samraat ("Emperor of Hindu Hearts").

Thackeray began his professional career as a cartoonist with the English language daily the The Free Press Journal in Mumbai, but left it in 1960 to form his own political weekly Marmik. His political philosophy was largely shaped by his father Keshav Sitaram Thackeray, a leading figure in the Samyukta Maharashtra movement (United Maharashtra movement), which advocated the creation of a separate linguistic state of Maharashtra. Through Marmik, he campaigned against the growing influence of Gujaratis, Marwaris, and southern Indians in Mumbai. In 1966, Thackeray formed the Shiv Sena party to advocate more strongly the place of Maharashtrians in Mumbai's political and professional landscape. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Thackeray built the party by forming temporary alliances with nearly all of Maharashtra's political parties.

Thackeray was also the founder of the Marathi-language newspaper Saamana and the Hindi-language newspaper Dopahar ka saamana.

Accomodation in Tirumala :: Mutts

Usually, it is difficult to get accommodation with TTD unless we reserve in advance. Also, there is no private accommodation available in Tirumala. To reserve an accommodation with TTD, we can do it online or at the TTD Kalyanamantapam which are available in almost every city and town.

The only other option is to look for accommodation in any of the Mutts available in Tirumala. Below is the list of contact numbers of different Mutts in Tirumala. HYDROCKR: Indian Musings - Part 1

As i start writing my thoughts here, there are three more teens in India, sitting somewhere, getting addicted[citation needed] to smoking, alcohol consumption or the worst case scenario - drugs. The Indian youth has been increasingly getting effected for the wrong reasons by the western movies and the western culture. For ages known, the consumption of alcohol (a kind of alcohol) has been in existence in India. But the good thing is there are more people who arent addicted than those who had. 

If have to be believed, the historians quote the rule of Mughal empire as the era that brought in a change in the people of India. Being one of the richest kingdoms of the world, India has been attacked by many. Indians have always been good to the new. Welcoming , making the new persons getting adapted, accepting the newly vested culture and traditions. However, starting with the advent of the British, the outlook of the people of Indian Kingdoms have changed. Though a little good has been done by the British, we have to accept the fact that more bad has definitely been done. The divide and rule policy has divided the society into more stringent caste believers, regional feeling, caste driven politics, persons with money being the Gods.

All these have got their own impact on the Youth of India. With the freedom fight movements in few Latin countries, the Youth of India, in 1857 have revolted along with the Indian Sepoy's working for the British. After the 1857 revlot, the next century of changes in the country have been based on the ideas of freedom. The realization of the freedom, freedom movement have got another great influence - Mahatma Gandhi.

No matter what, the influence on the youth is and will be at the greatest level of impacts of an act from the society. [Continued....]

ఆంధ్ర  ప్రదేశ్, ఈ పేరు వినగానే కొందరికి మింగుడు పడదు! మరికొందరు ఘుస్సా ఐతరు! ఏది ఏమైనపటికి అందరిని మెప్పించాలన్న ఒకేఒక్క ఉదేశ్యంతో, చితసుద్ధితో ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం ఉన్నట్టు కనిపిస్తోంది. రాజు అనుకుంటే దేనికి కొదవ? వెంటనే పేరు మార్చండి అన్నారు. ఎలా మార్చుదాం, ఎవరిని నొప్పించకుండా, ప్రతియవాదం లేకుండా, అన్ని ప్రాతాల వాళ్ళని ఒకే తిపైకి తెచేవిధంగ ఈ పేరు ఉండాలి అని ఒక మంత్రి వర్యులు నిశ్చయించుకున్నాడు.

"ఆమ్ఫాట్ , బూం, బూం, ఫట్ స్వాహా : అన్నాడు" ఆ మంత్రానికి అర్ధం ఆ అమత్యులవారికి కూడా తెలియదు! ఏమి జరుగుతుందిరా దేవుడా అని... ఆత్రంగా ఎదురుచూస్తున్నా ఆ మాత్రి, ఉన్నఫళంగా చీకట్లో చిక్కుకున్నాడు.  ఏదో బేతాళ కధలో మాదిరిగా ఇలా అయ్యింది ఎంటిరా అని ఆలోచిస్తుండగా మంత్రిగారిని పొగుడుతూ, చపట్లతో ముంచెత్తారు తోటి మంత్రులు. ఒక్కముక్క కూడా అర్ధం కానీ మంత్రి, బిత్తర చూపులతో తన P .A వంక చూసాడు. వెంటనే  P .A, సార! ఇది అంధకారం!!! అంటే అంధేరా!!! అంతే సంగతులు , మిగతా మంత్రులు అందరు కలసి, అంధేరా ప్రదేశ్ అని మన తెలుగు వారి రాష్ట్రము పేరుని మార్చేసారు. పనిలో పని, వెంటనే పేరు మారుస్తూ ఒక G .O  పాస్ చేసాడు ఆ మాత్రి.

తను అనుకున్నది సాధించాడు. చీకటికి - ప్రాంతీయత ఉండదు, - వేర్పాటువాదుల బూతు ప్రుఅనలు ఉండవు, మరికొంతమంది దిక్కుతోచని వాళ్ళ  - పనికి రాణి ప్రసంగాలు ఉండవు. అన్నింటికీ మించి చీకటి అందరిని ఒకేతాటిపై పెట్టింది. దెబ్బకి దుకాణాలు బంద్. పరిశ్రమలకి locks. వ్యాపారాలు నడవవు, పని ఎచేతోడు ఎవ్వడు. ఎదిఐథెనెమ్ రాజు గారు అనుకున్నది సాధించి అందరిని ఒకేతతిపై నడిపించినందుకు, అధిష్టానం ఆయనని ఢిల్లీ పిలిచిమారి వెండి పూత పోసిన పట్టు తువలుతో సత్కరించింది.

చిన్నప్పుడు Shakthiman సీరియల్ DD -1   లో చుసిన ప్రతిఒక్కరికి ఈ dialogue గుర్తుంది ఉంటుంది - "అంధేరా కాయం రహేగా "  అంటే చీకటి రాజ్యం స్థాపించబడింది అని.

 The Indian generation born in late 90s has lost the true sense of being Indian, called Indian and living in India. The things that matter the most to them is the False showoff, facing away from parents and elders who give them the best teachings to grow up to the perfect future. Movies, to these L90 born is love, bloodshed, cheap comedy, hatred and yes, the sex. Its not they havent watched the best of the 90s Indian movies, they
have, but they wont take the stories completely. They, not just like the King Khan- SRK, but also love his roles in all his movies. They want to live just like how SRK potrayed in his romantic characters. But these L90s forget the respect that SRK gave to the elders in his movies, the love he showered - not just his lover but to his family and friends.

Friendship for the L90s mean - Coffee shops, KFC, late night parties, booze, and birthday bumps. Leaving the mother tongue, they living everything in English and believe this is how it is ought to be. More than Kishore kumar, they like the F-words from the rappers of the west. More than the scared words of God and  मा / అమ్మ , they like shouting SHIT.

US elections on for the Whiste house race

Capping a long and bitter race for the White House, Americans cast their votes on Tuesday with polls showing President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney neck-and-neck in an election that will be decided in a handful of states.

Polling stations opened across the eastern United States and Midwest, with the West Coast soon to follow, as Election Day dawned. At least 120 million people were expected to render judgment on whether to give Obama a second term or replace him with Romney.

Their decision will set the country's course for the next four years on spending, taxes, healthcare and foreign policy challenges like the rise of China and Iran's nuclear ambitions.

National opinion polls show Obama and Romney in a virtual dead heat, although the Democratic incumbent has a slight advantage in several vital swing states - most notably Ohio - that could give him the 270 electoral votes needed to win the state-by-state contest.

Romney, the multimillionaire former head of a private equity fund, would be the first Mormon president and one of the wealthiest Americans to occupy the White House. Obama, the first black president, is vying to be the first Democrat to win a second term since Bill Clinton in 1996.

Himachal Pradesh Polling udapte.

A moderate 30 per cent polling was recorded till noon on Sunday in the election to the 68-member Assembly in hill state of Himachal Pradesh.

Polling had begun on a dull note apparently due to cold weather conditions. The minimum temperature was hovering around freezing point in Chopal in Shimla district and in Kaza area.

“Aleast seven EVMs were replaced due to malfunctioning, four of them in Kullu and one each on Shimla and Bilaspur,” Himachal’s Chief Electoral Officer Narinder Chauhan said.

Polling has been peaceful and no untoward incident has been reported, election officials said.

They said that average voting was below eight per cent in the first hour but it crossed 18 per cent by 10.00 AM. The poll percentage in the last election was 71.61 per cent.

iPhone 5 in India : Rs 45,500 only

Apple iPhone 5 launch in India has been delayed by a week to November 2, but several Apple partners in India have confirmed that the starting price for the much-awaited phone will be  Rs 45,500.
The prices have been shared by Redington, one of  two distribution partners of Apple in India. According to Redington, the basic 16GB version of the iPhone 5 will be priced at Rs 45, 500, the 32GB and 64GB will be priced  Rs52500 and Rs 59500 respectively. On Friday, Ingram, the other Apple India retailer,  confirmed that Apple is set to launch the iPhone 5  on November 2, 2012. Redington and Ingram Micro already distribute iPad and iPods in the country.
Both black and white versions of the phone are expected to go on sale. But still stocks are extremely limited considering the global demand for the device.

Key features of the iPhone are: a 4 inch screen with a higher screen resolution of 1136×640 pixel which comes to around 326 ppi. That’s Retina Display quality for you.
The iPhone5 has the dual-core A6 chip, an 8 megapixel rear camera with a sapphire crystal lens cover for ‘clearer pictures’ and a 1.2 megapixel front camera. The dock connector is now called Lightning, and is an eight-pin plug.
